THE VENUE
Camp Wasewagan
Tucked into nature just outside the city, Camp Wasewagan is beautiful, grounding, and very much real summer camp vibes. Think trees, open skies, cozy shared cabins (yes, bunk beds and all!), and plenty of space to wander, play, and hang out. This is not a hotel and not a luxury retreat, it’s camp in the best way: casual, warm, a little nostalgic, and perfect for making friends, staying up late watching the stars, and feeling like yourself again.

FAQS

What is Sacred Play Camp?
Sacred Play Camp is a 3-day immersive experience (Friday–Sunday) for creative, culturally aware women who crave wellness, play, and real community. Hosted at Camp Wasewagan, this intimate gathering blends tantra workshops, movement, dance, pool time, hiking, biking, arts & crafts, and space to simply be. It’s curated, intentional, and deeply joyful.
How does rooming work?
Rooms are shared to encourage connection.
Private or double rooms may be available upon request on a first-come, first-served basis.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Meals are provided by the camp and can accommodate most dietary needs (vegan, GF, etc.), but we must know before September 1.
You’re welcome to bring your own food if preferred, though this does not change the ticket price.
What’s the schedule like?
There is an intentionally curated agenda with guided workshops and experiences, balanced with plenty of free time to rest, explore and connect.
Can I arrive late or leave early? Or pop-up for a day?
No. To fully honor the container and experience, participants are expected to attend the full Friday–Sunday program.
What’s your refund policy?
Due to the intimate nature of the camp and limited capacity, tickets are non-refundable. However, they may be transferred to another participant in case you’re unable to attend.
How do I get to the camp?
Sacred Play Camp takes place at Camp Wasewagan, approximately 2 hours from Los Angeles by car (depending on traffic). Most participants drive up on Friday and return Sunday afternoon.
Transportation is not included in the ticket price.
If you’re interested in carpooling, reach out to sacred.alquimia@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to connect you with someone who may have space in their car.
Do I need prior experience with tantra or movement?
No prior experience is required. All workshops are guided and designed to be accessible, respectful, and welcoming to beginners.
Is this a spiritual retreat?
Sacred Play Camp centers wellness, play, and community. While some practices may feel reflective or embodied, the experience is grounded, inclusive, and designed to meet you wherever you are.
What if I’m coming alone?
Many women attend solo. The shared rooming, small group size, and curated programming are intentionally designed to foster connection from day one.
I really want to attend but can’t afford the ticket. Are there any options?
We believe access matters. A limited number of volunteer spots are available for women who feel deeply aligned with Sacred Play Camp but are unable to pay the full ticket.
Volunteers are expected to support the team throughout the weekend in specific roles, while still having meaningful time to participate in workshops and enjoy the community experience.
If this feels aligned, reach out to us directly for more information.
